Finally, the 2017 green season has kicked off with young-horse classes and a novice in Wesel and Langenfeld over the past two weekends.
In the Geländepferdeprüfung Kl. L (novice cross country class for young horses) in Wesel the french mare Altair de la Cense produced the best performance of the day, coming a lovely third on 8.4, followed by ATC’s Cancun in fourth on 8.3. Cassero, the Hanoverian gelding, did a nice test too by coming 8th with 8.0.
In the Geländepferdeprüfung Kl. A (pre-novice cross country class for young horses) the Holsteiner gelding Quasi Cool came a very good third on 8.2 and also Santana, the lovely mare out of Dirk’s former superstar Sindy, did a very nice test in her first ever event to come 7th on 8.0.
The novice at Langenfeld was predominantly set out to give our horses a very nice and relaxed first run of the season. All eight horses did a lovely job, producing a number of very nice double clears and making the most of the really good conditions and glorious sunshine at Langenfeld that held a novice event for the second time only this year.
