Since we did not run any horses at the Bundeschampionat in Warendorf and things were concentrating on WEG for a while before that, the young horses had a few good weeks of home training before going to Langenhagen for a CIC* and CIC** class.
All seven horses had a good weekend that turned out to become a weekend of almost only double clears.
Mr. Tomtom proved to have learned a lot in the show jumping since the beginning of the year, doing two lovely clears in jumping and across country with nothing to add to his dressage score of 48.2. 17th place in a class with more than 90 horses was a very pleasant result for him.
Bolewbawn Prince once more gave me a lovely ride in all three phases. With a dressage of 44,4, one pole down in the jumping and two time penalties across country he finished 23rd.
Carlevo proved himself with another very good 1* placing. He scored 47,2 in the dressage , picked up nothing but one time fault in the jumping and jumped confidently and clear across country to finish 6th.
Our lovely six year old Arina, who gave her 1* debut this weekend, came a very good 7th right behind Carlevo. After a reasonable dressage of 48,4 there was nothing more to add to this score after jumping a surprisingly confident double clear which was a nice approval of making the right decision in giving her a little bit more time to come to this level.
Call me Honey, number three of my 1* horses, scored equally to the others in the dressage on 47,8 but picked up 4 penalties for rolling one pole in the jumping which dropped her a few places down the leader board. Across country she gave me a very good ride and came home clear with no time faults to finish 11th.
Silken Spring, who was ridden by Sabrina, scored a 51,6 dressage before jumping a very good and easy double clear to finish 14th.
All in all a very good weekend that was useful for all horses as they felt confident and in good form.
