Helvoirt CIC*/**

Last weekend we travelled to Helvoirt in Holland to compete Call me Honey and Mr. Tomtom in the CIC** and Sevenoaks in the CIC*.
Sevenoaks kicked off with a lovely dressage of 44.8 which took him into second place after the first day. In the jumping he jumped carefully though a little bit unlucky rolled one pole.
Across country we jumped a lovely and straight forward clear to finish only one second outside the optimum time and in 6th place overall.

In the CIC** Call me Honey did a nice test of 45.6 but unfortunately this time had two fences down in the jumping and dropped down a few places in the leaderboard after having layed in 4th after the dressage. As a consequence he then went a very steady but good fun round across country. Though we picked up a few time faults he gave a very good ride and seemed to really enjoy himself from start to finish. In the final ranking he still completed within the rosettes to come home 10th.
Mr. Tomtom did a reasonable test that however was not one of his best performances to date. On a score of 49.6 he went into the jumping and after having jumped a number of clear rounds recently, had two fences down this weekend. He then also went for a steady round across country but jumped well and positively all the way round.

Next weekend will be competition free before we are heading towards Scotland with Hop and Skip on 2nd September.
